The 2007 conference was a great success. We had over 150 members in attendance. Steven Reid and the onsite committee did a wonderful job on the conference. Congrats on a job well done. Congratulations to our new 1st Vice President, Robert Vogt and our new 2nd Vice President Bryan Reed. I look forward to working with you.

I will take this opportunity to thank the membership for the honor of serving as your president for the second year row and ask everyone to recruit new members. If we want our organization to survive we must always look to the future. New members will bring new ideas and insight to the table and further our efforts in fighting auto theft and motor vehicle fraud.

Steven Reid was the recipient of this year's Clyde Oliver Award. Steven has been a dedicated member of the NCRC far many years and a loyal friend. Congratulations Steve.

Margaret Scott of the Oakland Michigan Prosecutors Office was this years Robert Sattler Award winner. Ms. Scott’s dedication to the fight against auto theft and insurance fraud has been unwavering. Congratulations to Ms. Scott.

The 2008 conference is still in the planning stages. We are hoping to have a site selected in a few weeks.

I would also like to welcome our new directors, Alan Theobald with the Nebraska State Patrol, Glenn Ebersold with State Farm Insurance, Christopher Cole with Oakland County Michigan Sheriff's Office and ]Richard McDougall with the Winnipeg Police Services. I look forward to working with all of you.
