A message from President, Bryan E. Reed I am honored to have been chosen to serve as NCRC’s President for 2009-2010. The conference in Bloomington, MN has just concluded. It certainly was a good time for everyone that attended. Networking, excellent classes, a Ford truck plant tour and a demonstration of a car being “chopped”; the On-Site Committee really put on a top notch conference. Thank you to our co-host, AVCAM and everyone on the On-Site Committee. For those that were able to attend, I trust that you were able to make bring some valuable information and contacts back to your business or department. If you weren’t able to attend this year, we look forward to seeing and meeting you next year. Speaking of next year’s conference, we are planning a joint conference with the Northeast Chapter and the Ohio Auto Theft Investigators Association. This conference will be held in the Cleveland, OH area. This should be an excellent conference with an opportunity for everyone from all three organizations to meet some new people and see some topics from a different perspective. Everybody should do their best to attend this conference. Details will be announced as soon as they are available. Congratulations to this year’s recipient of the Clyde Oliver Award, Past President Ken Hawcott. To the newest members of the Board of Directors; Billy Hacker, our web administrator and David Eggers, glad to have you on board. This past year was a year full of changes, not only for the NCRC but for virtually every organization in existence. Membership and attendance at events for organizations for the most part has declined. Partially due to cutbacks at work and partly because everybody is busier now than ever before. If our membership and this last conference is any indication, then NCRC is doing better than most, BUT we cannot sit back become complacent. We, NCRC/IAATI need you. If you are proud of your organization and believe that it serves you and the purpose of helping to combat vehicle theft related crimes, then get involved. If you are interested in becoming a regional representative or assisting during a conference or hosting a conference or have any information or articles for the Recover or have any ideas that may help the Chapter, let us know. If that is not for you, then get a friend or co-worker to join. Just get involved. NCRC needs you to let us, the board of directors, know what can be done to serve you better. If you have any questions or comments, please contact any member of the board. Sincerely, Bryan E. Reed The Bergstrom Automotive Group is a
